This famous long player debute of enfant terrible Orson Welles displays an ambivalent portrait of press gigant Charles Foster Kane, inspired by the historical figure of media tycoon William Randolph Hearst. In a splendid puzzle construction and based on several witnesses, the film tries to unravel the meaning of Kane's final word, 'Rosebud'. Not only from the narrative point of view, but also on the cinematographical level, this film is a milestone in the history of film. Next to several nominations, Orson Welles and Herman J. Mankiewicz won the oscar for the best scenario.

The climax of the plot is one of the most powerful and touching scenes in film history. The film won the Golden Palm in Cannes in 1976 and got nominated a year later for an oscar, just like leading actors Robert De Niro and Jodie Foster

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the 1975 film adaptation of the British rock musical stageplay, The Rocky Horror Show, written by Richard O'Brien. The film is a parody of B-movie, science fiction and horror films of the late 1940s through early 1970s. Director Jim Sharman collaborated on the screenplay with O'Brien, who wrote both the book and lyrics for the stage.

Classics Revisited Jam Session

On Museum Night Fever you can participate in Classics Revisited in Bozar. The big concert venue, Henry Le Boeuf, opens its gates continuously with fee in and out. A conductor leads excerpts of chamber music, jazz and deejays. Romforlove (Rewind - minimal techno) worked in Classics Revisited 2010 with Le Concert Invisible for a mix of beats and classical records. The resulting cooperation with Gregor Siedl is now enforced by American rapper Juba Zaki.

Classics Revisited is back. Every two years we build a huge party in the Royal Conservatory Brussels. The static pillars and marble statues create the unique context for a celebration of art. In a ‘concert+party’ formula we look for the border between modern music and its musical roots: classical and jazz. Deejays go at work with classical instruments, samples and riffs of yore.
